lady of harp

The performing arts have always been a way of life for the Lady. As the daughter of two music enthusiasts, she was introduced to the artform with piano lessons. As her studies progressed, she became the musician at a local church. While attending high school at Miami Killian, she was a member of the Jazz Ensemble & The Marching Cougar Band.

Unfortunately, she sustained a back injury that threatened to end her musical studies. While recuperating under the guidance the Taubman Technique, her father suggested that she try her hand at learning the harp. As the college years began, she was performing for local events as well as in different orchestras.

As a freelance harpist, she performs solo, in ensembles, and orchestras throughout South Florida and the Caribbean. She enjoys collaborating with jazz and classical musicians, dancers, choreographers, poets, and visual artists. She has directed harp ensembles for children as well as taught privately. In 2010, THE BEGINNING was released with plans for a sophomore album in the works.

Whether she is providing the background soundtrack for your special event or taking center stage, allow the Lady of Harp to entrance your guests with celestial sounds that not only delight but soothe the soul. Her vast repertoire includes Classical as well as Contemporary favorites. People often delight in the elegant view of the instrument and are captivated by its celestial sounds.
